The Childhood Roof

That dark evening I climbed on the roof
I wanted to see what I had long forgotten
I wanted to feel the dizzy air of the sky
To close my eyes from it and ask myself
 
Listen, human
Listen, don't turn away
What are you looking for here
The childhood has ended already
 
When I was a child, I used to climb up here
And while feet were dangling, I used to dream at night
I was happy to be so close to the sky
To touch the tiles with my hand.
 
That dark evening I climbed on the roof
I wanted to see what I had long forgotten
I was happy to be here again
The childhood returned just as the old dreams
