Cardboard cutouts

In a strange world of your own
made out of cardboard cutouts
and many ragdolls, there's where you live.
You live secluded in those four walls

A Look To The Sky

The joy of singing, the desire to dream
The sense of getting what you don't have
Here's another day like yesterday
Waiting for the morning to start over

The strength to smile, the strength to fight
The guilt of being alive and not being able to change
Like a dry branch, abandoned
That tries in vain to blossom

The mask of a clown in the middle of a large desert
A fire that goes out, a look to the sky
A look to the sky, where the sun is a wonder
Where the nothingness becomes world, where your light shines

Yesterday's friend

Autumn sand soaked wind
Lay your veil on the town
The desert is your crib
I don't know your age

You bring memories of ancient pioneers
Driven by a dream of freedom
You dispersed their songs
You led them to the sea
To a new reality

Autumn wind, yesterday 's friend
Today nobody cares of you
Your rising voice
Takes the sleep from resting people
Just dirties the town.

A Little Girl’s Play

As if by magic, she gets up in the night,
She walks in silence, with her eyes still closed
As if she were following a magical song
And on the swing she starts to dream again.

She has a long gown, a face of milk,
Moonlight rays on her thick hair.
The wax statue stretches out through the flowers,
Jealous elves are peeking at her.

Swing, swing, the wind pushes her,
She captures the stars for her desires.
A furtive shadow comes off the wall:
In the little girl’s play a woman is lost.

A cry in the morning, in the middle of the street,
A man of patches invokes his tailor,
With a bewildered voice he repeats forever:
“I didn’t want to wake her like this”
“I didn’t want to wake her like this”
