The Mexican Soldier

Versions: #1
I'm a Mexican soldier and I don't back down,
and gladly I defend my nation,
with my pistol and my mauser held steady,
I look forward to any intervention. [x2]

If there should be any nation that dares
to trample on my glorious flag,
soon, soon they'll see what my homeland is capable of,
and realize that messing with Mexico is a mistake.

Let them come, the Nazis and the Yellowmen,
let them come one by one or by the lot,
I await their arrival with the utmost sense of patriotism
because I have such a big heart. [x2]

If there should be any nation that dares
to trample on my glorious flag,
soon, soon they'll see what my homeland is capable of,
and realize that messing with Mexico is a mistake.

Even if those fools believe themselves to be the greatest,
I hope they don't think that I'm going to take it,
I'll make them see that they're just a bunch of idiots
and that they're going to collide with me. [x2]

If there should be any nation that dares
to trample on my glorious flag,
soon, soon they'll see what my homeland is capable of,
and realize that messing with Mexico is a mistake.

Pledge to the flag

My flag rises in the mast
like the sun between the winds and trills,
very deep inside the temple of my veneration
I hear and feel my heart beat happily.

My flag is the national ensign,
these notes are its martial canticle,
from childhood we learn to venerate it
and to live for its love as well!

Venerable and sacred banner that in our yearning
raises to the sky like a ray of light,
flooding through its tricolor canvas
our immortal being of fervor and patriotic ardor.

My flag is the national ensign,
these notes are its martial canticle,
from childhood we learn to venerate it
and to live for its love as well!
